mum's quilt

i made mum a quilt for mother's day this year.

every time i make another quilt she says the same thing...

"so, who's this one for ?"

i took that as a hint.

very simple quilt with lovely fabrics.

the colors looked great in her lounge

and she loved it...phew*

thought i'd show you the pin cushion my sister got for me.

her neighbour makes them.

this is my first ever attempt to drive the blog mobile...




here's a couple of photos of a quilt i'm making at the moment.
i cut out all the fabric first...only to find,
when i pieced the first border that the pattern was out...
by a whole inch.
so with a bit of unpicking, readjusting, gererous 1/4" seams,
a bit of stretching...
and the concentation 'tongue pocking out' stance....
i got the first border on...just*

second border was an easy strip

but the 3rd border is going to be a whole different story...



QUESTION:
is the 'tongue pocking out' stance considered a yoga postion?
if so, my dad is the master !


WHAT I KNOW:
i just know this is going to be bugger to quilt.

might have to do other quilts at the same time to keep sanity
